Megartha University Management System (MUMS) is a Cloud based Web 2.0, thin client, SOA application designed to automate the entire operations of a modern university. It allows multi-college, multi-department customized handling that includes various activities such as Admission, Curriculum management, Library management, Examinations, Account management, Alumni portals . Megartha UMS primarily helps in the development, implementation and maintenance of essential university administrative systems, practically covering the entire area of operations of the university. The system not only helps in daily operations of the university, but also provides the foundation to foster research and development. It is aided with user-friendly reports and confirms to high usability, accessibility and availability standards.

An underlying characteristic of MUMS is the use of cloud technologies that can substantially reduce annual hardware and software costs, adopting business processes for better student and staff care and improved operational efficiencies. It also supports online standard, dynamic and BI reporting and analysis tools helping better administration and decision making. Along with it is UID compliant as it integrates RFID, Fingerprint, Face and Retina biometrics devices providing enhanced security environment. The product is developed using cloud based Microsoft Azure technology and extends the benefit of cloud to universities.
